Work Retreats / Group Events

Looking for a little bonding with your fellow employees or friends? The bunkhouse and activities at the X-T Ranch can accommodate you.

Whether it’s rockhounding, stargazing, yoga, exploring the century-old ranch, writing, reading, photography, skeet shooting, or hunting for quail, dove, and javelina—that’s just the beginning.

Safford lies in a “dark sky” area—meaning there is no light pollution due to its isolation. Stargazing is a popular activity for visitors. Atop Mt. Graham lies the largest binocular telescope in the world, along with two other telescopes. And, since there are no other buildings for miles near the X-T, there is nothing obscuring the night sky. It’s fun to count how many falling stars you can see.

Rockhounds from all over the world converge on Safford searching for unique stones. The ranch is twenty minutes from the Black Hills National Back Country Byway—known for the semi-precious fire agate and the powerful (claimed for its healing properties) and rare rock, Saffordite. But you’ll probably find these rocks on our ranch!

The Gila Valley comes alive with color every spring with flashes of orange and yellow. Poppies and other wildflowers wash over the landscape like a lush carpet. Photo ops abound for those looking for stunning wildflower shots.
